Jobs Unlimited is a not-for-profit organization based in Fredericton, New Brunswick, dedicated to building pathways to employment, participation, and growth for people with diverse abilities, including intellectual and developmental disabilities and others.

For over 60 years, we have worked alongside individuals, families, employers, and community partners to prove that disability is never a barrier to meaningful work, contribution, or belonging.

Our Story

From a small group of families to a community of opportunity

The work began with parents who refused to accept the limits the world placed on their children. Six decades later, that same conviction continues to shape every program we build.

Where We Started… And Why It Matters

Jobs Unlimited was formally incorporated in 1980, built on the efforts of a small group of families working together since the 1960s, who believed their children deserved more than the limited options available as they entered their adult years. They believed they could create something different. They believed they could create pathways to skills development, purpose, participation and connection to community.

A small handful of people set out to change the world around them for the better.

That belief still drives us today.

What We Do

We support more than 300 individuals across the Fredericton region through a range of employment, participation and training opportunities.

But our work is not simply about placing people into jobs. It is about building pathways. It is about building community.

We recognize that every individual is starting from a different place, with different strengths, goals, and support needs. That's why our approach is built on a continuum of care model, including:

  • Life enrichment and community participation
  • Skill development and vocational exploration
  • Supported employment
  • Competitive and independent employment

We meet our clients where they are and grow with them toward their goals.
